Kirk was born in Oshawa Ontario and attended both O'Neill and Courtice Secondary schools. It was while attending the University of Toronto studying for a Bachelor of Science degree that Kirk's father Barry encouraged him to consider changing his career direction and join the family business, a financial services company that he started in 1969.
Kirk joined McNamee & Associates in 1989. In 1999 he earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
Kirk’s interests include golf, drumming and playing the guitar. He has also won 3 Canadian hockey championships at the age 35 and over level and an International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship at the age 45 and over level.
Doug was born and raised in Montreal. He graduated from Concordia University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
For the next 19 years Doug worked in the banking industry. He has worked for Canadian, U.S. and International banking organizations.
For nine years Doug was the Manager of the Precious Metals department within the Investment Banking division of a Canadian Bank. He was actively involved in the day to day trading in the gold and silver markets on both a spot and futures basis. During this time he also played a large role in establishing a gold options trading desk.
Later, Doug spent five years at BNP Paribas, a major international banking group as their Vice President Canadian Energy and Commodities. In this role he was responsible for establishing credit facilities and hedging strategies for Canadian based oil and gas firms. He would then go on to work as the Vice President, Private Wealth Management where he advised high net worth clients on their financial affairs including their investment portfolios.
In 1999 an opportunity presented itself to join McNamee & Associates as a 50% owner and partner. Doug always wanted to be a business owner, so he jumped at this opportunity.
Doug is married to his wife Kate and has two daughters Shannon and Robyn.
